Why We care

Across the country, there are entire neighborhoods discovering homes that no longer belong to the people who worked so hard for them, but to those who simply moved in and refused to leave. In some major metro areas, the National Rental Home Council reported over 1,200 homes overtaken by squatters, a number that feels less like an outlier and more like a warning tremor of a national problem. Every one of those Homes represents a family locked out of their own investment, a property owner forced into months of legal battles, and a community watching its safety erode. How long until this becomes a full-scale, struggle over who truly controls Americans houses?
